SALES CENTRE
Includes Karyaneka and Ole-Ole Johor souvenir shops offer authentic, Johor cultural identity by adapting motifs, functions and iconic art of the local society.
EDUCATION
Heritage Craft Gallery – Traditional Johor musical instruments are the centre of attraction, where visitors can explore and get to the roots of the invention of each musical instrument such as gambus, kompang, angklung, kempingan and gamelan. The concept of ‘Touch, Feel and Experience’ offers visitors the opportunity to try their hand on traditional musical instruments, thereby gain more understanding in learning Johor’s heritage and culture.
Craft Village – There are five waqafs characterised by the Malay traditional village which runs daily to provide an opportunity to visitors to experience and learn the art of craft products. Here you can also find the process of making traditional musical instruments, puppets shows, rattan weaving, sewing and embroidery. The Craft Village provides a valuable experience for visitors to observe personally how each craft product is produced.
EATERY
As a complement to a tourist destination, the Johor Craft Complex also serves a variety of unique and mouth-watering Johor traditional dishes such as laksa Johor, mee rebus, soto, asam pedas and sup tulang merah.
LEARNING CENTRE
KKJ is the centre of craft education centres in Johor Bahru. The centre offers knowledge sharing through informative materials, craft products, discourse with entrepreneurs, demonstration activities on producing craft products as well as information and input on crafts.
FACILITIES / AMENITIES
The centre has rental space for seminars or courses that can accommodate 30 to 50 participants. Fully equipped with air conditioning, PA system, projector and wide-screen.
