The Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation (Malaysian Handicraft) is an agency under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, established under Act 222, the Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation Act year 1979. The Malaysian Handicraft Board of Directors are spearheaded by the Chairman, Deputy Chairman, Director General of the Malaysian Handicraft and members of the Board of Directors consisting of representatives from the government agencies and private sectors. The Malaysian Handicraft management and administration is headed by the Director General assisted by two Deputy Directors, namely the Deputy Director General (Development) and Deputy Director General (Operations) in realising the organisation’s vision, mission and objectives in accordance to its stipulated roles.

To expand both the physical and digital market share and increase awareness creation towards Malaysian crafts;

To assist the craft community towards attaining modernised production, management and marketing capabilities;
To develop human capital who are highly skilled in the art of crafts; and
To conserve, preserve and protect the craft arts heritage.
