Kraf Holdings Sdn Bhd

Kraf Holdings Sdn. Bhd. was established on 2 March, 1987 and is the first subsidiary wholly owned by Malaysian Handicraft (Kraftangan Malaysia).

The company's main goals or objectives are to be the leader in the production of batik exclusively for the local market, and to be the supplier of raw materials such as white cloth and accessories for the needs of the craft manufacturing industry.

The main business of Kraf Holdings started with exclusive batik production and marketing activities limited to the local market. Starting in 2008, the company had a golden opportunity to produce and supply exclusive batik for a Malaysian fashion designer who resided in Paris, mainly to expand to European markets. To encourage rapid and positive growth, the company made a bold decision to take the business to international markets.

The production of exclusive batik features aesthetics refinement in its manufacturing, with a fresh batik design and high-quality production. It is often the souvenir of choice at prestigious events organised by the Malaysian Handicraft and the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia.

The company also plays a crucial role in supplying white cloth sourced from cotton and silk, and purchased directly from China, Indonesia and India for the local batik industry.

The company’s products are produced using high quality silk and cotton fabrics which are imported directly from the countries of origin.

In 2009, Craft Holdings produced an exclusive set of Italian Silk fabric to ensure the company continues to remain relevant and competitive.
