Registration Of Suppliers

Question 1: WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE SUPPLIER / CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION?

  1. Kraftangan Malaysia have implemented a registration system for suppliers/contractors to create a strong base of information and record of supplier/contractor companies that have the skills and qualifications to perform the supply/services/works at Kraftangan Malaysia.
  2. All suppliers/contractors wishing to take part in the procurement with Kraftangan Malaysia is required to register with the Finance & Engineering Unit (Procurement), Management and Services Division.

Question 2: WHY SHOULD THE SUPPLIER/CONTRACTOR BE REGISTERED?

  1. Listed as a potential supplier/contractor based on the relevant skills in Kraftangan Malaysia.
  2. Allows companies/contractors to participate in procurement matters in Kraftangan Malaysia.
  3. Registered companies/contractors have the opportunity to supply the goods/services offered.

 

Question 3: WHAT ARE THE TERMS OF REGISTRATION?

  1. Complete the registration form together with the supporting documents.
  2. Make the registration fee.
  3. The validity period of the supplier/contractor registration is one (1) year. After the expiration of the validity period, the company is required to renew the registration and a fee of RM10.00 will be charged for each renewal.
  4. This registration is not an agreement to obtain any supply/service/work with Kraftangan Malaysia.
  5. The information in the registration form is confidential.

 

Question 4: HOW TO REGISTER?

  1. Fill out the Supplier Registration Form which can be found in the Administration & Engineering (Procurement) Section, Management and Services Division.
  2. You can also download the Supplier Registration Form from the official website of Kraftangan Malaysia at URL: www.kraftangan.gov.my.
  3. Attach supporting documents such as Company Profile, copy of Ministry of Finance Certificate, Bumiputera Status, SSM, CIDB, PKK and others.
  4. Make registration fee of RM10.00 in Unit (Procurement, Management and Services Division).
  5. Payment may be made by Cash or by Postal Order/Money Order/Cross Bank Draft in the name of MALAYSIAN HANDICRAFT DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
  6. Submit a Registration Form with supporting documents and proof of payment to the address:
Administrative and Engineering Section
Management and Services Division
Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation
Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex
Section 63, Jalan Conlay
50450 Kuala Lumpur.
  1. Kraftangan Malaysia will send a Letter of Confirmation Registration with the Supplier Registration Number once the application document has been fully processed.
